Are my sessions covered by insurance?

Questions regarding your insurance coverage should be directed towards your extended health care provider. Most clients find that their sessions are covered, or partially covered, however every plan is different so coverage can not be guaranteed unless you speak directly with your insurance provider.

Dr Teesha Morgans information for insurance purposes is:

CCC (Canadian Certified Counsellor) with the CCPA
(Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association)
Membership #1857

How many appointments will I need?

The number of sessions is dependent on your needs and goals for counselling.  The range can vary from about 1 – 20 sessions.

Each session is either 50 or 80 minutes long and clients typically attend therapy every week or every other week depending on the nature of their needs. That being said, some clients find monthly sessions to be the most beneficial depending on their financial situation and the amount of time they need between sessions to process what may come up for them.

Each client is unique and each situation is customized to fit with your needs.

How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

Typically there is a 2 week wait time however, if you are requiring an evening appointment (430pm or later) bookings may take 3-4 weeks.

What happens if I can’t make my appointment?

Dr Morgan requires 24 hours notice for all cancelled appointments. If however, she is able to fill your appointment time with another client, you will not be charged the cancellation fee.

If a minimum of 24 hours is not given you will be charged for the full session fee.

Will Dr Morgan ever touch myself or my partner?

Absolutely not.

Sex Therapy is just like any other counselling domain, it requires strict ethical rules with a 100% no tolerance on becoming physically involved or touching a client in any way. Sex Therapy is simply counselling with a specialization in Human Sexuality. Just as other counsellors may specialize in anxiety, depression or additions.
